If the words of Shakespeare still hold, and it is indeed true that we all must suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, it always helps to have teachers, mentors, advisors, and friends that help us do the opposing, and ending of the troubles he so famously speaks of in the Prince’s ‘To be, or not to be’ soliloquy from Hamlet. Our member Noah Manning is definitely one or more of those roles to many people, and as a residential real estate agent, he views his professional practice as one of helping people to make very large, very potent family and life decisions. Those who have purchased homes (or written plays) know, when you’re in the process, the drama therein can get to Shakespearean levels, and truly justify this writing’s opening reference to the Bard himself.
In contrast, the common perception of buying a home may seem somewhat mundane upon first glance; but think about how much is tied up in the decision to move, to purchase a new home, find new schools, community etc. Many powerful factors make up the reasoning about how these decisions get made, and the aforementioned friends, mentors et al. can really make the experience less stressful, and help it stay true to the desired outcomes.
“I think of my role as being a kind of resource and nervous system for my clients. Buying or selling a home often comes with a lot of moving parts, uncertainty, and emotion,” he said, “My job is to help hold some of that complexity, bring clarity to the process, and connect people with the resources and guidance they need to move forward with confidence.”
From studying for a Master in Family Therapy degree, leading into non-profits and financial planning, then into real estate, the career arc he’s taken to get here is a rich one. As is usual with our members, he wears many hats in his roles, both personally and professionally, and it’s this richness of human experience that fits right in here at Keller and animates his work. In speaking with him, it becomes clear that the expertise and familiarity with that home ownership journey, both emotional and financial, is a decisive factor in having positive experiences. His business motto: Clarity – Confidence – Care, points to the fact that the desired outcome in these situations is to leave the drama for the pages and stages, and produce results with minimal disruption to the lives of those involved, so that everyone afterwards can easily say, “all’s well that ends well,” and mean it.
Noah and Keller staff are currently organizing a winter coat drive with local organization One Warm Coat here at Keller Street CoWork, running from 11/3-12/31. Your donations of clean, wearable jackets for kids and adults are most welcome and appreciated; we further welcome collaboration with local charities, businesses, and individuals; please contact Noah at noah@noahmanning.com to discuss how to participate.
